Run a 5K to celebrate the 6th Annual Walk The Butterfly Walk is not your average charity walk, its a celebration of courage. Its a chance to show your support for children with cancer and to help fund life saving research. Its a time to remember those who have passed and a time to celebrate life with an afternoon full of fun, music and festivities for the whole family. Since 2007, The Butterlfy Walk for CancerFree KIDS has raised over $270,000 for pediatric cancer research. Please join us at the 6th annual event and help us achieve another record setting year. |

Course
|
5K (3.1 miles) begins and ends at Cottell Park at 5847 Irwin Simpson Road, 45040. Measured & Timed 5K Run course. Click Here for Course map. Strollers are welcome. Please note - we are promoting the 5K as a run however you are allowed to do it as a run/walk and at your own pace. With that said, please be aware that we have allotted about 40 minutes to the 5K and it is a timed race with an awards ceremony. The course will be open until everyone comes in, however the ceremony will begin about 9:40am. |

Chip Timing: Once again, this year's 5K race will be chip timed with Ipico shoe tags (chips). All Times will be read electronically. You do not have to have a tag to participate but you must have a tag to receive a time. To receive a time, you must attach shoe tag to your shoe. Click here to see photo of properly attached shoe tag. No tag, no time! Shoe tags will be distributed on race-day only. Tags are re-useable and will be collected at the finish line. If you are given a tag, you agree to return it.

| Awards |
Award Ceremony: 9:40am - Immediately following the race, there will be an awards ceremony. Awards to the overall male and female winners and also top participants in each age category. Also, all the pediatric cancer survivors will be called up to stage and be honored will a medal of courage. |

Refreshments Awards ceremony Festival: 10am-2pm - The inspirational 1 mile Butterfly Walk will begin at 10am, followed by a festival filled with games, activities, food and fun for the whole family. |

Registration |
Pre-Registration Entry Fee: Adult (13 and older): $35 Youth (12 and under): $20 Add $5 for race-day registrations. All fees include: Pre/post race drinks & food, Race number & timing, T-shirt (registration must be received April 20, 2013 to guarantee size), Festival Wristband for access to all games, activities and food , Awards for top male & female winners in each age group, and top overall winners T-shirts are included with registration while supplies last. All pre-registered runners will have the opportunity to pick up their race packets Thursday May 9th, 6-8pm or Friday May 10th, 5-7pm at the Cincinnati Marriott Northeast Lobby, 9664 Mason-Montgomery Rd, Mason. Take I-71 North to Exit 19 - Mason-Montgomery Rd/Fields Ertel Road. Left off exit, hotel ahead 1/4 mile on right at one of the following . If you are unable to pick up your packet early, registration will begin at 8am on event day. Anyone who has not pre-registered will have an opportunity to do so at this time, but T-shirts will be first come, first serve while supplies last. No Refunds. |
