3rd Annual Family 5K RunWalk at Devou Park

Saturday, April 20, 2013 9:00 a.m.

Prepare for the Pig: Enter the Third Annual Covington 5 K Run/Walk at Devou Park, Kentucky at the Volpenheim Shelter.

Benefit: To benefit these services oriented nonprofit partner organizations;
Notre Dame Urban Education Center - after-school and summer mentoring program and the Special Olympics - year-round training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Course: 5K course begins and ends at the Charles Vopenheim shelter in Devou Park (near the Drees Pavilion).

Run Divisions: 14/under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65/over.

Walk Divisions: 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60/over.

Awards: First overall Male and Female runners and walkers. Awards to age group winners.

Post Race: Stay for refreshments and awards immediately following the race.

Fun Run: A Fun Race will occur 30 minutes before the 5 K Run/Walk event scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. All participants in the Fun Race will receive individual recognition at the conclusion of the fun race.

Fun Activities: Everyone attending the event may enjoy entertaining activities, such as playing in a jump house close to the Volpenheim Shelter, face painting, Mojo Circus and more.
The only requirement is for an adult not participating in the 5 K Run/Walk race to supervise all children.

Tech Shirts: In lieu of t-shirts, Quality Tech shirts are optional when registered in advance and available to purchase for $10 while supplies last. $12 Race Day while supplies last.

Pre-Registration: Register in advance for $17. You may add a quality Tech Shirt for an additional $10. You may register online or by mail.

Register Online: Online-registration is available for $17 through Thursday, April 18, 2013.You may add a quality Tech Shirt for an additional $10. A small service charge will be added to your fee. Click here to register online.

Register by Mail: Print, Fill out and Mail your entry with $17 by Monday, April 15, 2013. You may add a quality Tech Shirt for an additional $10. Print an entry form.

Race-Day Registration/Number Pickup: $22. You may add a quality Tech Shirt for an additional $12. (while supplies last). Registration begins at 7:30a.m. at Vopenheim Shelter in Devou Park. Race begins at 9:00.

Email address: All entries with valid email addresses will receive pre-race confirmation of entry and will receive race results emailed to them post-race.

Donation Only: If you cannot attend or would like to "sleep in" but would like to make a contribution, you can print an entry form and write "donation only" and mail it in. Or, you can use the online registration feature above to make a donation online using a credit card.
