Eye Run for Vision

The 9th Annual Eye Run for Vision 5K will be held Saturday, September 6, 8am at Luxottica Retail Headquarters in Mason, Ohio. The 5K is followed by a FREE Kids Fun Run at 9am. All race proceeds directly support Gift of Sight's family of charitable vision programs.

Registration is $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the race. Early registration begins Monday, July 28 and ends Wednesday, September 3rd. Team registration is also available.

Registration includes:

* Eye Run T-shirt (including kids participating in the Kids Fun Run)
* Commemorative medal
* Race goodie bag

Your Eye Run Registration Fee Helps:

* Three people receive eye care and eyewear in a developing country on a Gift of Sight International Mission.
* One child receives eye care and eyewear during a North American Mission.

START TIME: Runners begin at 8:00 AM; fitness walkers at 8:01 AM. Fitness Warmup will begin prior to the Race at 7:45 a.m.

DISTANCE: 5K(3.1 miles).

COURSE: The 9th Annual Eye Run for Vision 5K is moving back to Luxottica Retail Headquarters this year and the course is easier than ever!

DONATE USED EYEWEAR AT THE EYE RUN: We collect, recycle and prepare used eyewear to be distributed on International missions. Bring used prescription eyeglasses and non-prescription sunglasses to Eye Run and we’ll recycle them! Donations will be accepted all day on Race-day.

EMAIL ADDRESS: All Pre-registered entries that include a valid email address will receive an email confirmation of registration prior to the race and will receive their individual results via email.

PACKET PICK UP & LATE REGISTRATION: Friday, September 5, 11:30 am - 4:00 pm at Luxottica Retail Headquarters. Race-Day Prices will apply.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Race-Day Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m at Luxottica Retail Headquarters

AWARDS: Award Categories

Trophies will be awarded to the top runner and walker overall. In addition, there will be a number of other special awards to winners in the following categories:
* Top three running competitors in each of the following age divisions: 14/under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70/over
* Top three walking competitors in each of the following age divisions: 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60/over
* Team with the most participants
* Honorable mention for visually impaired participants

EXTRAS: Commemorative medal and Race Goodie Bag to all Eye Run Participants

RAFFLE PRIZES:
Eye Run participants will also be entered in a raffle drawing for prizes.

FREE KIDS FUN RUN: Fun Run will begin at 9:00 a.m.

RESULTS: Complete Results will be posted online at www.Runningtime.net (here) following the race.

From Downtown Cincinnati/N. Kentucky I-71 North
Take the Western Row Road exit and turn left onto Western Row. Western Row will become Tylersville Road at the 3rd light. The 4th light is Luxottica Place. Turn left into Luxottica Retail.

From Dayton I-71 South
Take the King Mills Road/741 exit and turn left onto Kings Mill Road. Follow to Kings Island Drive (the 2nd light) turn right and follow to Western Row Road. Turn right onto Western Row. Western Row will become Tylersville Road at the 3rd light. The 4th light is Luxottica Place. Turn right into Luxottica Retail.

From I-75 North
Take the Tylersville Road exit and go right (east) toward Mason. Follow Tylersville Road 5 miles to Luxottica Place. Turn right into Luxottica Retail.

From I-75 South
Take the Tylersville Road exit and go left (east) toward Mason. Follow Tylersville Road 5 miles to Luxottica Place. Turn right into Luxottica Retail.
