The 10th Annual Eye Run for Vision will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 8am at Luxottica Retail Headquarters in Mason, Ohio. The 5K Run/Walk and New 10K Run will Benefit OneSight Foundation. The Race is followed by a FREE Kids Fun Run at 9am.

You've taken the first step in helping others see their world more clearly by your interest in the 10th Annual Eye Run for Vision. This year's Eye Run will be held on Saturday May 16, 2009 at Luxottica Retail, 4000 Luxottica Place, Mason, OH 45040. Come join the fun! Your participation and fundraising helps OneSight deliver clear vision to hundreds of thousands of people around the world and right here in our own community!

WHEN:	Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 8 a.m.
START TIME:	Runners begin at 8:00 AM; fitness walkers at 8:01 AM. Fitness Warmup will begin prior to the Race at 7:45 a.m.
DISTANCE:	Choose between a 5K(3.1 miles) Run/Walk or 10K Run (new for 2009)
COURSE:	The 10th Annual Eye Run for Vision 5K and 10K Starts and Finishes at the Luxottica Retail Headquarters. BENEFICIARIES:	All Eye Run proceeds benefit OneSight, a Luxottica Group foundation dedicated to giving the gift of sight to those in need around the world and in our local community. Eye Run participants are encouraged to bring their gently used prescription glasses and non-prescription sunglasses. One Sight volunteers will clean, repair and recycle the used glasses to be hand-delivered during one of 20 annual OneSight Global Clinics in a developing country. FREE KIDS FUN RUN:	Fun Run will begin at 9:00 a.m. Kids 10 and under. Kids receive free Eye Run Medal.
RAFFLE PRIZES:	All Eye Run participants will also eligible for many valuable door prizes including Oakley sunglasses.
EXTRAS:	All Entrants will receive an Eye Run t-shirt, a commemorative medal and a race goodie bag.
TEAM COMPETITION:	Teams will consist of 5 or more runners and walkers. Teams must Register by Wednesday, May 13th.
DIVISIONS:	Run Divisions: 14/under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70/over Walk Divisions: 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60/over
AWARDS:	Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female runner and walker in each race. DIRECTIONS:	The 10th Annual Eye Run for Vision 5K Run/Walk will be hosted at Luxottica Retail Headquarters, located at 4000 Luxottica Place in Mason, Ohio, 45040 (At the corner of Tylersville and Western Row Roads. Click Here for Google Map and Directions from your place. From Downtown Cincinnati/N. Kentucky I-71 North Take the Western Row Road exit and turn left onto Western Row. Western Row will become Tylersville Road at the 3rd light. The 4th light is Luxottica Place. Turn left into Luxottica Retail. From Dayton I-71 South Take the King Mills Road/741 exit and turn left onto Kings Mill Road. Follow to Kings Island Drive (the 2nd light) turn right and follow to Western Row Road. Turn right onto Western Row. Western Row will become Tylersville Road at the 3rd light. The 4th light is Luxottica Place. Turn right into Luxottica Retail. From I-75 North Take the Tylersville Road exit and go right (east) toward Mason. Follow Tylersville Road 5 miles to Luxottica Place. Turn right into Luxottica Retail. From I-75 South Take the Tylersville Road exit and go left (east) toward Mason. Follow Tylersville Road 5 miles to Luxottica Place. Turn right into Luxottica Retail.
PARKING:	Ample Free Parking available.
DONATE EYEWEAR:	DONATE USED EYEWEAR AT THE EYE RUN: We collect, recycle and prepare used eyewear to be distributed on International missions. Bring used prescription eyeglasses and non-prescription sunglasses to Eye Run and we’ll recycle them! Donations will be accepted all day on Race-day.
