On August 26th, 2002, at the age of
9, just days before she began the 4th grade at St. Pius X, Elana Renee'
Brophy lost her battle with a rare pediatric cancer. Elana touched many
people during her few short years on earth. The community will never forget
this extraordinary young woman.In honor of her zest for life and competitive
spirit, the Elana Brophy Memorial Scholarship Fund, together with her
family will be hosting the first "Loop for Lana" 5K Walk/Run
on Saturday October 15th, 2011, benefitting the Elana Brophy Memorial
Scholarship Fund and CureSearch - National Childhood Cancer Research Foundation Course: 3.1 mile scenic run/walk starts and ends Columbia Sussex Building in Crestview Hills, KY. View Course. Chip Timing: This year's race will be timed with Ipico shoe tags (chips). All Times will be read electronically. You do not have to have a tag to participate but you must have a tag to receive a time. To receive a time, you must attach shoe tag to your shoe. Click here to see photo of properly attached shoe tag. No tag, no time! Shoe tags will be distributed on race-day only. Tags are re-useable and will be collected at the finish line. If you are given a tag, you agree to return it.
Run Divisions: 15/under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,
35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. Walk Divisions: 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59,
60-69, 70 and over. Awards: Top male and female runners and walkers.
Age group awards to top runners and walkers in each age division. Post-Race: Catering by Lother's Catering and Live Music by "Just Gravy". Awards ceremony immediately following the race. Registration Cost: Pre-register for only $20 without a shirt or $30 including a Long-sleeved custom tech shirt. Children 12 and under: $10 or $15 including Long-sleeved T-shirt. Tech Shirts: Custom Long-sleeved Tech Shirts are
available for only $10 additional with adult registration. Larger sizes
are available with pre-registration upon request. Specify on the registration

October 8, 2011. Race-Day Registration/Number Pickup: Race Day registration
and number pick up will be at Columbia Sussex 7:30 am until 8:45 am. Registration
cost is $25 or $35 including a long-sleeved tech shirt (while supplies
last). Children 12 and under may register for $15 or $20 with long-sleeved
