Join us on Saturday, April 14, at 9:00 am at Water Works Park for a 5K Run/Walk. This event "kicks off" the Mozart Octave, an 8 day series of concerts and social events in Hamilton and Fairfield. The race benefits the Hamilton Fairfield Symphony Orchestra and Chorale.

WHAT: 5K (3.1 miles) Run/Walk

BENEFIARY: Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra and Chorale

WHEN: Saturday, April 14, 2012, 9:00 am

WHERE: Water Works Park, Fairfield, OH

COURSE: 5K Course (just over three miles) begins and ends at Water Works Park in Fairfield. Course Map from USATF.

MASTER OF CEREMONIES: John Lomax from WKRC-TV will be back by popular demand to emcee the event.

CHIP TIMING: Once again, this year's race will be timed with Ipico shoe tags (chips). All Times will be read electronically. You do not have to have a tag to participate but you must have a tag to receive a time. To receive a time, you must attach shoe tag to your shoe. Click here to see photo of properly attached shoe tag. No tag, no time! Shoe tags will be distributed on race-day only. Tags are re-useable and will be collected at the finish line. If you are given a tag, you agree to return it.

RUN DIVISIONS: 14/under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70/over.

WALK DIVISIONS: 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70/over.

AWARDS: Top male and female runners and walkers. Age group awards to the top 15% of each run/walk division. Awards presented immediately following the race/walk.

FREE KIDS FUN RUN: After the 5K

MUSIC AND ACTIVITIES:There will be live entertainment and family-friendly activities throughout the morning. including a Free Kids Run. Special guests include Mozart himself joined by the Town Crier. Refreshments will be provided for all entrants.

FREE MASSAGE: Free pre and post-race massage courtesy of McCullough Hyde Physical Therapy

DOOR PRIZES: We will have many door prizes. Each participant will receive one door prize ticket with ther entry.

SHOE RAFFLE: We will also raffle off a free pair of shoes ($100 value). This raffle is optional. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.

EMAIL ADDRESS: All Pre-registered entries that include a valid email address will receive an email confirmation of registration prior to the race and will receive their individual results via email.

PRE-REGISTRATION FEE: $15 without a T-shirt or $25 with a T-shirt (while supplies last).

RACE DAY REGISTRATION FEE: $20 without a T-shirt or $30 with a T-shirt (while supplies last).

T-SHIRTS: Race T-shirts are optional. T-shirts are $10 each while supplies last.
