Location: Mt. Airy Forest, Cincinnati

27K Event Information:
The race is held in Mt. Airy Forest, a gem of a park just a couple miles from beautiful downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Mt. Airy Forest is near I-75 and I-74 off of Colerain Avenue. We are returning to Mt. Airy for the season finale.

Our final trail run, held in Mt. Airy Forest, begins a half hour after the existing Stone Steps 50K Trail Race starts. The start/finish of the race is at The Oval (area 13). Look for signs on race day. You repeat two loops that have lots of hills, roots, rocks and, of course, stone steps!

Registration fee is $25 and includes a shirt. Advance registration only.

There is no race-day registration for this event.

Stone Steps 27K is not part of the Dirt Days Trail Series for 2013.

Mt. Airy Forest is, in fact, one of the larger parks located within a city's limits in the country. Even Central Park can only boast 843 acres, while Mt. Airy holds a massive 1,469.9 acres. Runners will get a wilderness experience that mirrors the Sierras at times. The course winds through all of the features Mt. Airy has to offer, such as its lush evergreens, dense harwoods, open meadows, flowing rivers, and of course, hill climbs and ridge traverses.
