Complete Information

Come to Mt. Adams and join us for our 18th annual holiday tradition. Scenic and challenging course begins at Jerome and St. Gregory and winds through Mt. Adams and Eden Park offering spectacular views of the city.

When: Saturday, December 19th, 2009. Registration begins at 8:15 AM. Race begins at 10:00 Sharp!

Where: Historic Mt. Adams and Eden Park, overlooking Downtown Cincinnati and the Ohio River.

Course: Scenic and challenging course begins at Jerome and St. Gregory and winds through Mt. Adams and Eden Park offering spectacular views of the city. View dynamic course Map from USATF or print PDF Course Map.

Distance: 5 Kilometers (5K) or about 3.1 miles.

New for 2009: We will be "chip" timing the race this year.

Divison: You can choose to either Run or Walk. If you think that you may run any part of the course, you should sign up as a runner

Run Divisons: 15/under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

Walk Divisions: Walk Divisions: 19/under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Chip Timing: This year's race will be timed with Ipico shoe tags (chips). All Times will be read electronically. You do not have to have a tag to participate but you must have a tag to receive a time. To receive a time, you must attach shoe tag to your shoe. Click here to see photo of properly attached shoe tag. No tag, no time! Shoe tags will be distributed on race-day only. Tags are re-useable and will be collected at the finish line. If you are given a tag, you agree to return it. We may provide a Net Time for your entertainment however all Race Awards will be based on Gun Time.

Awards: Top Male and Female runners and walkers. Top male and female masters(new for 2009)(40 and over) and top 15% in each division. Awards ceremony following the race. Note: All awards are based on Gun Time.

After the Race: Join us at The Wine Cellar and Koka Coffee after race for the Awards Ceremony, Egg Nog from Trauth Dairy, Bruegger's Bagels, Food, Drink and Fun.

Door Prizes: All entrants will be eligible for random Door Prizes. You must me present to win.

Race Headquarters: The Wine Cellar and Koka Coffee is our race headquarters this year. They are located at 1101 St. Gregory Street in Mt. Adams in Cincinnati. Google for map and directions.

Entry Fee: $10 pre-registration. $12 late Registration. $15 Race-day (same as last year).

Long-sleeve T-shirts: available: $12 with Pre-registration, $15 Late Registration and on Race-Day (Limited Supply).

Archived T-shirts: A limited number of 2008 and 2007 T-shirts are available for purchase for $5 each. Let us know if you are interested and we can hold one for you. The T-shirt logos are shown at the bottom of this page.

Register Online: $10. Register online with a credit card at GetMeRegistered.com through Thursday, December 17th. This is the easiest way to go and is cheaper than race-day registration. There will be a small service fee added to your bill. T-shirt supply may be limited. If you want a t-shirt, it is best to register before Monday, December 14th.

Register by Mail: $10. Fill out an entry form and mail with payment. Postmark by Monday, December 14th. This is the Cheapest way to go.

Late Registration/Packet Pick up : $12. Register in person at The Wine Cellar on Thursday, December 17th from 5-8pm. As an added convenience, we have also added a Friday December 18th registration/pick up at Bob Roncker's Running Spot in O'bryonville from 4pm - 7pm.

Register on Race Day: $15. Race-Day Registration and Number Pickup: 8:15 am - 9:45 am at The Wine Cellar (1101 St Gregory Street). Google for map and directions.

Early Number pick up: Thursday, December 17th from 5-8pm at The Wine Cellar in Mt. Adams or on Friday, December 18th rom 4-7pm at Bob Roncker's Running Spot in O'Bryonville.

Email: All registrations that include and email address will receive a pre-race confirmation and individual results mailing post-race.

Parking: Ample street parking is available for the race. However, come early to get the best spot! Monastery, Wareham, Elsinore, Mt. Adams Drive (playhouse) etc. check course map to locate these streets. USATF Course Map
