The Nitty Gritty
If you are familiar with the series, all events should have the same look and feel as in past years. We may tweak the events a little based on your recommendations. If you would like to give your input, send me an email.
All races this year will be chip-timed.
Individual Event Awards:
Each event in the series will have its own awards.
The overall top male and overall top female in each race will receive a FREE Pair of Saucony Trail Shoes, redeemable at Fleet Feet Sports.
Random drawing Shoe winner: An additional FREE Pair of Saucony Trail Shoes will be randomly awarded at each event, redeemable at Fleet Feet Sports!
No duplicate shoe winners are allowed throughout the series. This means that many people regardless of ability will have an opportunity to win a pair of shoes.
10 age-graded awards at each event.
10 randomly drawn door prizes will be awarded at each event.
You must be present to win any random drawing and you cannot accept for someone else, so stick around!
Several races have age-group awards instead of age-graded awards.
Trail Series Awards:
In addition to individual event awards, there are also Dirt Days Trail Series Awards. There will be awards for the Dirtiest Dozen Males and Females. There will also be participation awards for the series.
Complete at least four events and you will be eligible for the Dirtiest Dozen competition. The top twelve male and females based on points will receive a Saucony Half-Zip with custom Dirty Dozen Logo!
Points are based on your place within your gender for each race based on your BEST FOUR finishes.
For 2017, the winner by gender of each event will receive 250 points. Second place will receive 249 and so on. The highest point total win. 1000 points is the highest possible point total (250 x 4). The top 12 Male and Females with the highest point totals will earn the right to be called the Dirtiest Dozen for 2017.

Registration Fee: $15 Early registration per race. Late registration, when offered, will be $17. Race Day registration is $20.
Early online registration usually ends on the Thursday before each event. Check each event to be sure. It was determined that not enough folks were pre-registering so the race day fee was raised to $20 to "encourage" pre-registration.
The backpack trail run handicap event registration closes early to give us needed time to create handicaps.
Register Online. See individual events for specific deadlines.
Register by mail. Print and mail a paper registration form. Make sure that we have it by Wednesday prior to the event.
Register on Race Day.
Dirt Day Trail series Tech shirts will also be available for purchase both online and at the race. These shirts are being sold by Fleet Feet and are $15 each while supplies last.
Several races offer optional race-specific t-shirts. At these events, Series shirts will not be sold.
We will have a variety of treats for you at each event. We will have a variety of sponsors depending on the event.
Tri-Health is back with us this year and should be available at most events to offer Pre and Post-race stretching and to help us with potential medical issues.
